About me
Born in India, grew up in Botswana and currently living in America since the past 7 years, I am an amalgation of thoughts and ideas from around the world. From starting college at the age of 16, I have amassed invaluable experiences that have profoundly influenced and shaped the person I am today.
My professional journey spans from working at an early-stage start-up with hands-on involvement in developing an NFT marketplaces to now pursuing my PhD where I research evolutionary computation algorithms applied to image quality analysis. Our approach is different from the traditional neural networks approach as our outputs are more interpretable and explainable, with the benefits of not requiring a lot of training data. My second research topic is looking at the quantification of uncertainity in Tree-based models, specifically in genetic programming, by using a gaussian process modelling system. On the side, I am extremely passionate about building the next generation of computer scientists. I work as a graduate teaching assistant for a data structures class at Michigan State University. I am also going to start a blog soon, which will not only help me remember but also help better understand key image quality concepts. Stay tuned for that.
What i'm doing
-
Image Quality Assesement
Developing interpretable models for full-reference image quality assesement which will then be extended into the realm of deep-fakes.
-
Teaching Computer Science
Teaching python data structures & algorithms to undergraduate college students .
-
I will be attending NeurIPS 2025 in San Diego this year!
-
Dancing
I love making Bollywood dance videos as a creative outlet.
